(Day) - dāae design studio
Over the past 20 years, my journey has been a blend of design, leadership, and service—all rooted in a deep commitment to people and purpose. I began my professional career in 2003 at an architectural firm, where I served as a Project Manager for nearly a decade. During that time, I led a wide range of residential and commercial projects, gaining a deep understanding of how spaces are shaped—from vision to construction—and how they shape the people who use them.
In 2013, I transitioned into full-time ministry, stepping into a new kind of leadership. I served as a pastor for over ten years, overseeing multiple departments within a thriving church community. In 2017, I launched my own church, driven by a desire to build something meaningful from the ground up—something that reflected faith, creativity, and care for the community. That vision extended beyond the four walls, as I led volunteer teams to support families and partner with local organizations throughout the city.
After years of dedicated service I sensed a shift beginning to take place — not a loss of purpose, but a redirection of it. Ministry had shaped my leadership, deepened my empathy, and given me an unwavering sense of mission. It taught me to build with both vision and heart, and to value people’s stories. I had poured myself into that season, and in return, it poured into me everything I needed to carry forward. I had learned how to lead, how to serve others, and how to build from the ground up — all within the context of something deeply personal and meaningful. These weren’t just lessons for ministry; they were foundational for life and leadership in any space. As I stepped away from full-time ministry, I did so knowing I had received everything that season was meant to give me.
Through both architecture and ministry, I’ve learned the importance of listening deeply, leading with integrity, and designing environments—physical or spiritual—that help people flourish.
In 2023, it came full circle as I launched dāae design studio, a residential design practice specializing in custom homes and vacation properties. This studio is the culmination of everything I’ve learned—about building with intention, serving with heart, and creating spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.
